Hairatan Oil Terminal

CEFE Group’s owned storage facility in Hairatan is a significant investment that plays a vital role in the company’s energy business in the region. This facility is strategically located in Hairatan, a town in the northern Balkh Province of Afghanistan, near the border with Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. The proximity to these neighboring countries provides a crucial transit point for the import and transfer of fuel products into Afghanistan, making it an essential component of the region’s energy infrastructure.

The facility has a storage capacity of 25 million liters, making it a valuable asset for CEFE Group. The capacity allows for the storage and distribution of large quantities of fuel products, meeting the growing energy demand in Afghanistan. Additionally, it enables the facility to provide critical services to both the US government and other regional customers, supporting regular deliveries of fuel products throughout the country.

The facility features six large tanks, each with a capacity of 4,000,000 liters, and ten smaller tanks, each with a capacity of 100,000 liters. Additionally, it is equipped with a range of pumps, flow meters, filtration systems, and fuel laboratory, enabling it to meet the highest quality and safety standards. Furthermore, it has 150 diesel trucks, 120 gasoline trucks, and 60 aviation tankers, making it a fully integrated and comprehensive facility.

The Hairatan-Mazar-i-Sharif Railway is a critical component of the facility’s infrastructure. The railway links Hairatan with Mazar-i-Sharif, the fourth-largest city in Afghanistan, and connects the facility to Russia and other CIS countries. The railway provides a direct and cost-effective transportation route for fuel products, enabling CEFE Group to leverage its existing relationships and expand its operations in the region.

The facility’s location and infrastructure make it a compelling investment for CEFE Group. It provides the company with a strategic position in the energy trade in the region, enabling it to meet the growing demand for fuel products and support economic development. Additionally, the facility’s comprehensive infrastructure provides a significant barrier to entry for competitors, making it a valuable asset for the company in the long term.
